Yes, again it has been a long long time hasn't it? Here we go...
MERRY CHRISTMAS! I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday, I know that we did as always! We started off last night over at Uncle Travis and Aunt Dena's for Christmas Eve dinner with everyone, it was wonderful of course! The meal was wonderful and of course being with family is always wonderful, Lily looked beautiful and having the new addition of Regan is wonderful! I can hardly believe that this is Lily's 6th Christmas and while she still isn't as into it as I wish she would or could be simply the miracle of having her with me for her 6th Christmas is MY biggest Christmas gift in the whole world. She woke up this morning late, around 10am and my biggest joy is just seeing her smile at me...what a GIFT! We got down the stocking and opened a few presents and the rest was waiting for when everyone to get here.
We both got the house ready and got the house cleaned up and ready for everyone to come over. Noni, Pappy, Grandma, Uncle Travis, Aunt Dena and Cousin Regan came over and we opened up gifts. Lily looked beautiful as always and got such beautiful presents from everyone (thank you to everyone who sent her presents). It was such a nice, wonderful day for all of us. Christmas is such a beautiful thing with family and of course Lily. I have so much to be thankful for and am looking forward to another beautiful year, 2007 will be a great year! Lily has remained so healthy and is growing bigger and more beautiful everyday...she never fails to amaze me each and everyday. Her eyes, her smile, that cute little toothless grin she gives me never fails to melt my heart everyday. Thank you so much God for the blessing of Lily and I know Nathan just smiles down from Heaven with pride at his little sister!
On Saturday Travis showed up at our house asking me if I could babysit Regan for the day while he finished his Christmas shopping and so Dena could work on getting things ready for Christmas Eve dinner and of course we said yes. Boy, I didn't remember how hard work it was with a baby around! Whew, by the time Regan went home in the evening both Lily and I were worn OUT! Regan is a doll baby but she refuses to let you lay her down or else she screams! The ONLY time she didn't cry was when I would lay her down with Lily and let her watch Rolie Polie Olie with her big cousin Lily ;). I had a few loads of laundry to do so I asked Lily if she would watch Lily while I did that and Lily said yes so I laid Regan right up next to Lily and bless Lily's heart, she never took her eyes off of her while I was doing the laundry...it was so cute! Regan just laid there right beside Lily, it was so cute and Lily was such a big girl watching her. Finally Regan had enough and started crying and Lily just looked at me then would look at the door, I asked Lily if she wanted me to take her out of the room and she said "uh-huh" just as clear as a bell, it was hysterical! Over all Lily loves her cousin but when Regan starts squalling it is OUT the door with her! I got a few really good pictures of Lily with Regan, make sure you check them out in the December folder, I am trying to catch up with pictures with my new camera but I have a way to go, it seems to be hectic over here with working and all of that.
Not much else has been going on, I have been working 5 days a week and Lily goes with me on 3 of those days so we do stay busy, by the time we get home we just relax until the next day. We are both enjoying it but it does get hectic having to get up and get the 2 of us ready for work, I look forward to the days that mom keeps Lily so it is only me to get ready and I really look forward to the weekends when we get to sleep in and lay around all day in our jammies! Weekends are made for snuggling in and spending time together thats for sure!
Big week this week, on Thursday some friends of mine that I "met" on a fan club site for Montgomery Gentry are coming in to stay with me for a few days, one of them is flying in from Iowa on Thursday and the other one is driving up from Arkansas on Thursday and will stay with me on Thursday night, Friday night and Saturday night then we head to a hotel on Sunday in Lexington for New Years Eve! Then we all leave on Monday and they head home that day too. I am so excited for this! It has been YEARS since I have been out to celebrate New Years (since Brian!). On Friday night Amy (from Iowa), Jackie (Arkansas) and Donna (Zachary's mom) are heading to Lexington to go to Austin City Saloon to meet up with MANY people from MANY different states (even 2 from Canada!) to have a great time! On Saturday we are all getting together in Lexington (same people) to have a nice family dinner at John Michael Montgomery's (Lily will get to go to this one) then like I said we head back to Lexington on Sunday to celebrate New Years Eve with lots of members of the Fan Club to see Montgomery Gentry in concert! They will be there with a few special guests....one being Styx! I am so excited and so thankful that my parents are watching Lily so I can do this with my new and best friends! Lily will have a great time with Noni and Pappy too! This will be the FIRST year I have not been there to celebrate with Lily but I know we will both be fine. Anyway, I am excited and only have a few more days to go! Wow!
I'll keep y'all up-to-date better....I promise! For now, thanks for continuing to check-in even though I have been remiss in keeping things up-to-date. I'll share pictures from this coming up exciting weekend as well as pictures of Lily too :). I promise! For now enjoy a few pictures of Lily with her cousin, they are so cute!
