Believe in Miracles: May 19, 2007

Oh what a night and what a perfect dancing partner....I'll tell you! We all headed down to the Street Party (I think that is what it is called in Downtown Shelbyville...lol....) and there is nothing like listening to a good band and having the best dancing partner in the whole dang place!

It started off with just a few people dancing out in the area they had blocked off but once things got cranked up there were a ton of people out dancing to some really great music and I had the most perfect dancing parter in the whole dang place! Smooth moves and the most beautiful eyes you have ever seen your life, the smile, the hair, EVERYTHING was perfect! We danced to the fast songs and the slow songs, I haven't danced that much with someone like that in the longest time....I almost felt like my feet were off the ground and I was dancing among the stars! About the time we were settled another great song would come back on and off we would go dancing again, laughing and smiling at each other. I love nights like this were things feel just so....perfect.

Wondering who that wonderful dancing partner happens to be? Only the love of my life, the most beautiful girl that has ever graced this earth ;) my very own daughter, Lily. LOL....she had the best time, had the biggest smile and just loved listening to the music and kept me busy dancing the night away. We did the Electric slide, we danced to Billy Jean and Beat it, we danced to Brown Eyed Girl and a whole host of other songs. Lily laughed and smiled, she had me smiling just watching her face and seeing her brunette pony tail bobbing up and down. I paid no attention to the aching in my arms and we just danced.....it was a perfect night. It was almost like Lily and I were the only ones dancing we enjoyed ourselves so much. A night of memories...my little girl is growing up and I am so darn proud of her. I am sitting here in tears because I love her so much.....this is my girl, my little wild child, perfection through the imperfections of SMA....there isn't anything that can take away the spirit of this child, the pure joy of life she has despite all obstacles...she is my true hero and I am so proud to be to be her mother. This is the face of perfection right here
and her eyes are the window to her soul....yes, I am waxing poetic tonight simply because she is amazing, simply amazing to me. I love you Lily Barnett and I am IN love with you as well.....I never knew such a beautiful love could ever exist.....I am tired but so happy tonight simply because of you my big girl.
